My love story with makeup began 11 years ago. At the time, I was falling back in love with theater by being involved with a few community productions. This time was different though. I saw the spotlight in a different angle and it was through waves of emotions that stage makeup created. Being able to tell a story and set a mood through a look shook my soul and inspired me greatly.
As my love for makeup grew I dove right into learning about different techniques, styles and genres. It went from theater makeup to Sci-Fi, Body Painting, Expressive, Editorial and Bridal. I was in a complete trance by all the techniques that existed! I had to learn them all, yet Bridal always tugged at my heart.
For me, if makeup had a love language, it would be Bridal makeup. Don’t get me wrong, Halloween makeup and body painting can still takes my breath away and off to that special place, but there is something indescribable about the opportunity to bring a bride's beauty vision to life. I cannot paint a picture with my words that describes the moment a Bride see's her Husband for the first time! It truly takes the cake. At the end of the day I just have to admit, I'm a sucker for a love story.
NWA OCCASIONS has been serving NWA Brides for 5 years and we are just getting started! Our team has over 75 years of combined devotion to our craft! We take every trial and consultation very seriously and as my Mom says, the proof is in the puddin'!
